It is the desire to open our own home to all those who appreciate true values and want to experience life in the Province of Turin, Piedmont, captivated by a simple and genuine vacation, made of authentic places touched by the art and special atmosphere of our land.
Those who prize the emotions that the little things of every day can bring will be pleased by these relaxing moments!
Being away from home doesn’t always mean holidays as often work and family needs require overnight stays of medium and even long duration. We can meet this demand with rental units and rooms that guarantee comfort, intimacy and a quality of services that will make you feel at home!
The "Casa Del Grande Vecchio" complex is located in the center of Airasca (TO), discreetly hidden by the Nove Merli Castle, built by the Counts Piossasco-Airasca and frescoed with paintings dating back to the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries.
Easily reachable, 1 km from the highway, it is 20 km from Turin and 40 km from the Olympic Alpine valleys.
In our warm and friendly home, the atmosphere of the past intertwines with the comfort of the present, bringing hospitality, relax and conviviality to our guests.
You may choose to cook on your own or to be pampered by the landlord and his offering of tasty and traditional meals, like the marenda sinora, or samples of local products, all paired with good wine for an unforgettable stay!
The Casa del Grande Vecchio was the home of “Pinotu", my grandfather, who bought it long before my time.
Care and passion have guided me in restructuring this farmhouse which was in full decline, transforming it into a beautiful Piedmontese country house with all the charm of the original materials while maintaining the warmth that has comforted me throughout my life.
Years went by, my daughter was born and I have now nephews that here at Cascina Castel can enjoy a childhood of freedom and in contact with nature, as only children living in a small country town can.
During the renovation I payed particular attention to the environment so I installed solar panels that supply electricity and hot water to the structure.
The antique furniture, the paintings, the accessories and fabrics are all the result of my work and research rooted in the local territory.
I’d like to thank two friends, Vanda and Aldo, for their precious help with the interior decoration and restoration of some pieces of furniture over the years.
A special thanks to my friend Severino, for his contribution and his precious availability in helping us on a daily basis.

The CASA DEL GRANDE VECCHIO complex is located right in the center of the village; cafe’ and bars, ice cream shops, supermarkets, post office, tobacconist and bus stop are all within walking distance.
